An Ancient Practice of Chanting
Reset your nervous system with the power of your own voice and vibrational sound.

What happens on a physical & emotional level when you chant for a few minutes up to an hour or more.
After 3 Minutes:
Your breathing begins to deepen and slow down naturally as you sync with the rhythm of the mantra
Initial mental restlessness starts to settle, though the mind may still be quite active
Heart rate begins to decrease slightly
You start entering a light meditative state, though you may still feel fidgety or distracted
The nervous system begins its shift from sympathetic (stress response) to parasympathetic (relaxation response)
After 10 Minutes:
Breathing becomes noticeably more rhythmic and deeper
Heart rate variability improves, indicating better stress regulation
The mind settles considerably; thoughts become less intrusive
You enter a more stable meditative state; the mantra may start to feel more effortless
Stress hormones like cortisol begin to decrease
You may feel a sense of calm or slight detachment from external concerns
The repetitive nature helps override the brain's default mode network (the part responsible for mind-wandering)
After 1 Hour:
Profound state of calm and centeredness
Significant reduction in stress hormones and inflammatory markers
Enhanced parasympathetic dominance; full "rest and digest" mode
Some practitioners report transcendent experiences or states of samadhi (absorption)
The distinction between the chanter and the mantra may blur
Deep mental clarity often follows the session
Immune system markers may improve
Effects can last for hours afterward; sustained sense of peace, improved mood, and mental clarity
Brain shows increased coherence between different regions
Some traditions say this is when the stronger spiritual effects of the mantra begin to manifest
